The Foundation has been set up for the benefit of sick children and their families, focusing on the advancement of children’s health and the saving of children’s lives and pastoral care of families going through traumatic experiences.
In particular the Foundation will issue grants and awards to help advance those working in, or returning to, paediatric care in UK hospitals, through education, to perform more senior and influential roles in paediatric health care and by doing so help to contribute more to the care of sick children and their families in the UK.
This also helps address a serious shortfall in the paediatric workforce in the UK.
We intend to select, sponsor and support incredible individuals driven by a desire to care for children and their families.
Meet the Team
We are delighted to have a team of professional and passionate Trustees, friends and supporters, all giving their time and expertise on a voluntary basis to build The Evie Dove Foundation into a real force of good. With skills covering finance, commercial negotiation, human resources, event management, sales, marketing and social media we are confident we will be able to deliver on our purpose to help thousands of children who need expert paediatric care via the professionals we sponsor. Howard is Evie’s Dad and also to Edward their son. Howard is an experienced Managing Director running both Airpark’s (part of the Holiday Extras Group) and a travel insurance business. Howard has an MBA, is a sportsman/Ironman competitor and alongside wife Katie will be dedicating time and passion to setting up the foundation.
Katie is Evie’s mum and also to son Edward. Her and husband Howard are the driving force behind the foundation to honour their beautiful daughter and ensure that her legacy lives on, with the intention of helping thousands of children and families needing expert paediatric care. Katie is also a fitness instructor, personal trainer, travel consultant, social media guru and will be putting all her skills and energy towards setting up and running the foundation.
Matt is Chief Commercial Officer for Holiday Extras leading on commercial supply and sales partnerships, he’s an incredible negotiator and inspiring people leader. He’s an avid sportsman, recently completing an Ironman and has form in golf and football – also a fantasy football nerd, leading the charge on our Foundation mini-league!
Hugo is Chief Finance Officer at the Holiday Extras Group, previously FD at Sky. He’s very experienced in raising funding, managing banking and cashflow, a top Cricketer and served as the youngest board member at Lords Cricket Ground.
Simon is Deputy CEO of Holiday Extras, Chief Business Development Officer and Chief People Officer. Simon has led and started a number of business divisions, a school governor for 10 years and also Non Executive Director of an inland surf lagoon project. Simon is a keen open water and cross channel swimmer, surfer and windsurfer.
Kim is the Company Secretary for the Holiday Extras Group, when she is not organising the board of Directors she is a cracking Executive Assistant, master of meeting minutes and actions. Kim brings great attention to detail and experience of Governance to the The Evie Dove Foundation.
Laura leads the Corporate/PA team at Holiday Extras and is also in charge of the full facilities management of a large and vibrant campus of office spaces. Laura is an expert events organiser, a force of nature and delivers complex projects with gusto and a smile!
Sam is a PA and events organiser at Holiday Extras, she runs the buzzing social club and helps lead various events. She is a ninja at organisation, making things happen and perfectly placed to help the foundation on all the exciting events and fundraising activities we have planned.
