Hi everyone! I’m Katherine, one of the luckiest healthcare professionals, The Evie Dove Foundation team has been supporting in their studies. I’m about to start my second year in the MSc Physiotherapy course and without their support and encouragement this wouldn’t be possible. I look forward to joining this fantastic team in the big coastal walk & the little canal walk on the 7th of September 2024. Come and join us in this fantastic event to support EDF\’s mission of empowering healthcare professionals like me, ensuring we can make a difference in paediatric care.

Eligibility for Prizes

Thanks so much for joining the ‘Evie Dove Foundation League’, and for doing your bit to improve the speed and pastoral quality of medical care for sick children in the UK by increasing the number of compassionate Paediatric Nurses, Doctors and Consultants through awarding grants to help fund progression through higher education.
We have a prize fund of £1k for the 22/23 season, generously donated by one of our amazing sponsors. We are sure you will understand that we need to have a set of rules for how this prize money is allocated.
To put yourself in with a chance of winning a prize, you will need to make a £10 pledge to the Evie Dove Foundation, AND convert this into a £10 payment to the Foundation when we have charity status.
If you don’t do both of these then you will be playing just for fun – you are really welcome, but it’s really important we make that clear up front! No pledge/payment = no prize!
If you make a pledge and/or payment of less than £10, you will be in the mix for a percentage of each prize – for example if you pledge £5, you will be eligible for 50% of every prize available.
The league is open for new entrants until 23:59 on Wednesday 31st August. If you have not entered a team AND made a pledge by this deadline, then you will not be eligible for any prize money and will be playing just for fun.
When we have charity status we will contact you directly to convert your pledge into payment. We will ask you to make payment within 14 days of our contact for you to be eligible for any prizes. If you do not make payment, again you will not be eligible for any prize money and will be playing just for fun.
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories, and will be paid out within one week of the final game of the season.
- Overall winner = £300
- Best Non Triple Captain Gameweek = £125
- Best total team score in the week you play your Triple Captain = £125
- Best Free Hit = £125
- Lowest number of transfers (to qualify for this prize you will need to achieve a minimum of 1950 points over the season – just to ensure we do not reward ‘inactive’ teams!) = £125
- Mystery prize find = £150
- Best Team Name – judged by Howard, Katie & Edward. Their decision is final! = £50
In the event of a tie in any category, prize money will be shared equally.
