Eligibility for Prizes

Thanks so much for joining the ‘Evie Dove Foundation League’, and for doing your bit to improve the speed and pastoral quality of medical care for sick children in the UK by increasing the number of compassionate Paediatric Nurses, Doctors and Consultants through awarding grants to help fund progression through higher education.
We have a prize fund of £1k for the 22/23 season, generously donated by one of our amazing sponsors. We are sure you will understand that we need to have a set of rules for how this prize money is allocated.
To put yourself in with a chance of winning a prize, you will need to make a £10 pledge to the Evie Dove Foundation, AND convert this into a £10 payment to the Foundation when we have charity status.
If you don’t do both of these then you will be playing just for fun – you are really welcome, but it’s really important we make that clear up front! No pledge/payment = no prize!
If you make a pledge and/or payment of less than £10, you will be in the mix for a percentage of each prize – for example if you pledge £5, you will be eligible for 50% of every prize available.
The league is open for new entrants until 23:59 on Wednesday 31st August. If you have not entered a team AND made a pledge by this deadline, then you will not be eligible for any prize money and will be playing just for fun.
When we have charity status we will contact you directly to convert your pledge into payment. We will ask you to make payment within 14 days of our contact for you to be eligible for any prizes. If you do not make payment, again you will not be eligible for any prize money and will be playing just for fun.
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories, and will be paid out within one week of the final game of the season.
- Overall winner = £300
- Best Non Triple Captain Gameweek = £125
- Best total team score in the week you play your Triple Captain = £125
- Best Free Hit = £125
- Lowest number of transfers (to qualify for this prize you will need to achieve a minimum of 1950 points over the season – just to ensure we do not reward ‘inactive’ teams!) = £125
- Mystery prize find = £150
- Best Team Name – judged by Howard, Katie & Edward. Their decision is final! = £50
In the event of a tie in any category, prize money will be shared equally.

Please join us for the Evie Dove Foundation Fundraising Walk on Saturday 7th September 2024!

We are expecting it to be hugely popular, so it is a great idea to sign up early and secure your place in one of our two walks, we’ve ordered the sunshine too!

The Big Coastal Walk’ – 17 miles – £10 per person

‘The Little Canal Walk’ – 3 miles – £5 per person

If you participated in 2023, please re-use your t-shirt (this means we can maximise the funds that go towards our heroes).

If you are signing up to the 17 mile walk for the first time, you will receive one of these fantastic t-shirts as part of your £10 entry fee.

****update 6th September**** we have now run out of small T-Shirts, all other sizes still just about available!

If you are signing up to the 3 mile walk for the first time, you will be able to purchase a t-shirt for a small additional charge.

Also, if you want to sign up and do a walk locally to you that is absolutely fine. In 2023 we had walks around the UK, and in Cyprus, Germany, Spain, Italy and Norway. Wherever you are in the world, we want as many people involved as possible!
