Gameweek 20

Keep up!!!!!……..Don’t even think about taking the decorations down, or starting your tax return……. you’ve got work  to do!!!………Luton & Chelsea are tucking into their linguine as I write this…… getting ready for a 12:30 kick off………..which means an 11:00 deadline for all of us to get our teams in shape…………. and of course start making plans for AFCON and the Asia Cup, when many of us will have to bid farewell to both Salah and Son for a few gameweeks……….oh, and if you have not yet played your first wildcard – this is your last chance to do so!!

Team of the week in GW19 was ‘The mask of Porro’ on 68 points, powered by 10 point Areola, and 14 point Hee Chan (another one heading off to the Asia Cup), but in reality GW19 was all about ‘Sonny & Schar’ who continued to cruise through the gears, closing the gap on ’DC United’ to just 12 points, with ‘DC’ once again stumbling under the pressure of front running, leaving an agonising 16 point Joao Pedro, and 10 point Areola on the bench. Deep breath and go again ‘DC’!…….. 

And that’s not all………the 58 point haul for ‘Sonny’ in GW 19 was also enough to take the lead in the quest to win the £50 December prize……..over to you ‘Nemo Monchengladbach’, ‘Lucas team’ and ‘Witty Name’ to try and reel in ‘Sonny’ in the final GW of December…………

So that’s it for this week………we are halfway through the season, with loads of prizes ahead of us……. five more £50 monthly prizes, plus £75 prizes for Best Free Hit, Top Gameweek, The Clattenburg Trophy, the TEDF Cup (scheduled to start in GW31) still to play for, and of course the big £200 prize of the overall leader. 

And, if you want to spice up the second half of the season then you could always have a side bet with one of your rivals – my team ‘Swiss Toney’ (1032 points) is up against ‘Sambuca Boys’ (1040 points) with the loser at the end of the season due to make a small donation to the Evie Dove Foundation!
