Gameweek 34

Is there any more satisfying feeling than saving your captain until the Monday night game……..and then he only goes and scores four goals!!! 

Well done to the 16 teams that avoided the obvious, and went for Captain Palmer…..coming up trumps against the 113 of you that went for Haaland (can’t believe he got an assist for smashing the ball into Hashioka’s face!!)…….. and the 23 of you that plumped for a very lacklustre Mo Salah…………..well…….. I say well done……….. let’s admit it three of you got very lucky……… yes that’s you ‘Bangers and Rashford’, ‘Katie’s barmy army’ and ‘Jesus Rice‘st’ ………all benefiting from Foden’s no-show and Vice Captain Palmer taking the reins………..what a result………………sadly the exact opposite of ’Dan’s PL XI’ and ‘Evanton’, both of whom rolled the ‘Triple Captain’ dice with TC Salah and De Bruyne both delivering 6 points…………whilst Vice Triple Captain Palmer kept his potential 78 (Seventy Eight) points to himself……….aaaagghhhhh!!!!!!!

In the April stakes ‘The Floppy Stars’ continued their run of form with an impressive 84 points……… however a Newcastle powered ‘Howe About It’ surged into the lead with an incredible 121 points, including 42 points from Schar, Gordon and Isak as they shared the four goals v Tottenham between them………tucked in behind are ‘Real Social Dad’,  ‘Gaz FC’, and ‘Ghost Monkeys’ all of whom are still right in the mix with two gameweeks to go………….. it’s going to be an almighty tussle, especially with double gameweek 34 to come. Use your chips wisely everyone!!!

The real story of GW33 however was all about one team………….and sadly ‘Gaz FC’ it’s time for you to wave goodbye to the £75 prize for top gameweek score……114 points was good……….but not good enough……..’Howe about it’ deserve another mention for their 121 points…….but even that was not in the same league as ‘M’chickenbappe’ who smashed in a fantastic 124 points…… the roll of honour as follows………. Leno (9), Saliba (1), Gomez (1), Castagne (6), Senesi (8), Gordon (17), Palmer (Captain) (52), De Bruyne (2), Saka (2), Jackson (14), Cunha (12)………..Nice work ‘M’chicken’………5 weeks to go to see if you are the winner of the £75 or not!!

So the long talked about double gameweek 34 is here……..time to load up on players from Arsenal, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Wolves, Bournemouth, Everton, and Sheffield United (maybe not)………could also be the week to gun for the top Free Hit for those of you that have it left…….. ‘Notorious RBB’ with 90 points is your target!
