Double gameweek 32 done……Double gameweek 33 inbound! Let’s cover GW32 first……as anticipated plenty of Bench Boosts and Triple Captains were played…..26 in total, and it was a high scoring week with six teams joining the 100 club…………Wibble (101 points) and Freshly Minteh’ed (103 points) both benefitted from captain Murphy with 38 points, but were outdone by shouldawouldacoulda (105 points) who tripled up on Murphy….very nicely played…….but there was still better to come……French Flair (108 points) cashed in on Newcastle’s rich vein of form with Harvey Barnes (27), Murphy (19) and Captain Isak (22) and No Hope & Bob Hope (116 points) did the same, this time with Assistant Manager Howe, who came good with 23 points, despite a bout of pneumonia…..just no stopping Newcastle right now! And proving there is more than one way to skin a cat I hate Nim’bees notched 114 points with a massive 50 of them coming from a very timely Bench Boost…..check this out for a collection of subs…..Arrizabalaga (11),Murphy (19), Ait Nouri (14), Kerkez (6). Well played all of you, over 100 points is super impressive.
In the Evie Dove league, the gap at the top closed slightly but with 6 gameweeks to go Netflix and Chilwell still has a 32 point lead over Uptown Dunk, and DCFC made their way into 3rd place just a further 11 points back, so its tightening up as we approach the run in!
In the Evie Dove Cup some cracking results in the round of 128…..unsurprisingly Cally won the clash of the Cally’s……
……most unfortunate team was Neil Madrid who despite getting 94 points got themselves dumped out…….
And three ties went right to the wire, with most goals scored needed to separate them
In the April stakes Ange Summers kept their lead, another team benefiting from Howe’s 23 points, closely followed by Wibble and Notorious RBB……….chip strategy could be crucial with Bench Boosts and Free Hits looming in GW33 and GW34.
