Gameweek 38

And we are nearly done………….it’s been another great season and we are now approaching gameweek 38……an opportunity to have one last go at improving your position, and then rest and recuperate over the summer months….

Gameweek 37 was one for the scriptwriters with Everton winning their last game at Goodison (great work by the schedulers giving them Southampton)……….Jamie Vardy, of course, got his 200th goal…….and whilst it did not impact FPL, we were of course all delighted to see Palace win the cup, cue thousands of South London men, women and kids breaking down in tears! The only one who did not quite follow the script was KDB, a Fantasy Football League legend missed a golden chance to notch one more goal on his final appearance at the Etihad…….meanwhile another FPL great Trent Alexander Arnold did not even make it on the pitch…… we will miss you Trent…..over 257 Liverpool appearances he has amassed a massive 1,278 points, including 73 assist and 170 bonus points……not bad for a right back!

In the Evie Dove League I think it is fair to say that we can now start preparing to crown our new champion, very well played Netflix and Chilwell as you take a 66 point lead into the final gameweek, enjoy your coast to victory! In the May stakes our leader is Slot Machine who find themselves in rarefied air being closely hunted down by overall second placed Hardly Athletic and the aforementioned Netflix and Chilwell, good luck to all of you in the running for the final monthly cash prizes of the season.

In the Evie Dove Cup, we have our finalists……Sambuca Boys saw away last season’s league champ Crystal Pellis by a convincing margin, even playing the Bench Boost just to showboat a little, like your style……..and in the other semi Stranger Mings dispensed with Vicky’s Giants, courtesy of a late cameo and goal from man of the moment Eberichi Eze. Good luck to both of you in Sunday’s final!
