Gameweek 22

There were only 15 minutes to go in Gameweek 21 and all those who gave Isak the captains armband (32 points) were feeling very very smug…..they’d jumped off dead cert Salah, swerved obvious next choice Palmer, and landed on the player of the gameweek………..surely………but not so quick……..in possibly one of the most dramatic final 15 minutes of Fantasy Football League ever……..you could even say Amad mad finish there was still a hat-trick to come!!!………..And in a stroke of genius, two teams in the Evie Dove League had the foresight to give the captains armband to Amad Diallo v Southampton………..hats off to ChampagneSuperRovers and our 22/23 champion Uptown Dunk……was this massive 40 point haul on one player the turning point in their season………?!!

And that was not the only new member to the 100 club…….On the beers son delivered a huge 101 points, and could even afford a bit of showboating by leaving 15 point Guehi in the bench………putting themselves in the January cash prize running which is currently headed up by so so soucek it out who went toe for toe by also leaving 15 points on the bench……this time courtesy of Iwobi……despite that they opened up a healthy 18 point gap to second placed Slot Machine, closely followed by Here we go !! Two gameweeks to go before the January prizes are won, so all to play for!

Gameweek 21 also saw another 7 wildcards…….feels so good to get rid of all those players that have been holding you back……Sambuca boys was the pick of the bunch with 95 points with a revitalised team……..whilst at the other end of the scale Stranger Mings and Mount Kilimanjarro(d) both endured a painful finale to the gameweek with wildcard Diallo’s 20 points going begging as he did not make the cut for the shiny new first eleven!!

A Free Hit from The Meggomix and a Triple Captain from Woods Edge Wanderers rounded off the GW21 chips but didn’t trouble the leaderboard so thats a wrap for GW21, and very quickly onto Gameweek 22………..your deadline is this morning at 11:00 so best crack on……………and when you are making your transfers just remember we’ve now had our first double gameweek announced…….there will be two Liverpool and two Everton games in GW24 so bear that in mind!
