New Year……..New Monthly Winner…….New Top Gameweek Score……..New Most Points Left on the Bench……..read on for all the early 2025 news!

Let’s start with December………… a very, very impressive front-running performance from The Meggomix who added a further 96 points in GW19 to comfortably scoop the £25 monthly top prize for December…………….scoring an overall total of 464 points…….. the highest scoring month of the season so far……..congrats to you The Meggomix and to Tommy’s Tankers and YouGottaRohlWithIt collecting £15 and £10 on 445 and 437 points respectively……….and just like that we wipe the slate clean and the January stakes begin!

At the top of the league Endo the Line entered the New Year top of the pile, but closing the gap are November winner Netflix and Chilwell with an impressive 88 points despite yet another fully loaded bench…….. meanwhile Crystal Pellis leapfrogged Ghost Monkeys to go third with a gameweek score of 87 points……..we’ve still got half a season to go but the back to back is in scope for last season’s champ!

Former leader EnzOh No You Didn’t also stayed in the hunt with a well timed Bench Boost, adding in 12 points from Chris Wood………something that Palmer Violets could only dream of……….I bring good news Dontnowwhatimdoing and YouGottaRohlWithIt…….the 32 points you left on the bench back in GW4 and GW17 will quickly now become a distant memory…….the Most Points on the Bench mantle now passes to Palmer Violets with this collection of non-contributing players………. Sels (6), Milenkovic (6), Ait Nouri (10), Wood (12)……..a painful, not so festive total of 34 points going begging!

At the opposite end of the scale, I am sorry to inform Saka Spuds that your 114 points from GW2 has finally been toppled….. you almost made it halfway through the season……..but there to deny you was an inspired eleven players from Rodri you plonker with this lot notching an incredible 124 points including a very tidy 48 points from Triple Captain Salah who became the fastest player in the history of FPL to reach 200 points in a single season…….the full roll of honour as follows………..Henderson (2), Lewis (6), Alexander Arnold (15), Cucurella (1), O’Shea (5), Salah (48), Mbeumo (7), Rogers (11), Luis Diaz (9), Haaland (8), Watkins (12)……….and not a single point on the bench either…….a gameweek does not get much better than that!

And we move swiftly on to Gameweek 20, the second half of the season begins……and that means we all have a new wildcard available……..anyone going early?!
