Gameweek 16

Gameweek 16 and the scene is set perfectly for a phenomenal amount of wasted time and effort………the combination of five free transfers and a 13:30 deadline on Saturday should ensure overthinking galore, a litany of unnecessary changes, and countless tales of woe come Sunday evening…..

But before that misery ensues let’s have a quick recap on GW15……..team of the week was long time supporter ‘Floppy Stars’ with a massive 90 points powered by captain Fernandes (36) and a sneaky Bench Boost too…….Floppy was one of ten Evie Dove League teams to captain the Portuguese midfielder, a lovely treat for a Monday evening…..the majority of course were on Haaland……a huge 185 of you missed out as the Norwegian watched on as his team mates, much to Pep’s disgust, rabonaed their way to the points in a 3-0 win. Amazing every single one of you chose to collectively throw Mo Salah ‘under the bus’……. I think for the first time ever in the history of the Evie Dove League not a single team featured him as their captain…..how times have changed!

Leading the December stakes after two gameweeks out of five are the previously unheralded Saka Spuds, Jossy’s Giant, and Astwood Rangers…….as ever it’s great to see some new names in the upper echelons, but a long way to go before those dreamt of cash prizes become a reality…..

And at the top of the league Tymon for Stoppages put a dent in the lead held by the front two Warthog Dukes, and Zubi Zubi Doo, just 12 points separating the top three now……but we’ve all got five free transfers now so let’s see if we can hunt them down……Remember everyone should use at least one transfer this week as each gameweek you get an extra free transfer up to a maximum of five…..so if you don’t use one in GW16 its basically like chucking away a free transfer………..The popular moves are Foden in……1.25m teams have already brought him in this week…..despite six price rises in nine days £8.6m is a fair price for a player on the hottest of hot streaks………meanwhile going out the other way we bid a sad farewell to defender Daniel Munoz, he did us proud with two 14 point hauls in the last three gameweeks, but injury means he is out now until mid Jan. Anyway you get my drift……get on and make AT LEAST ONE TRANSFER!!
