Gameweek 18

A quick recap on a massive gameweek 17 which delivered the highest average score of the season, 66 points, with an incredible 15 teams in the Evie Dove League joining the 100 club, the full roll of honour as follows ……..

A particularly special mention for Wibble, the only team to join the club without even using a chip, and of course to Tamerz and Frimpingpong who were 2 of 23 teams to use up their Bench Boost and it paid off handsomely as between them they now share the highest gameweek score……seeing In the Mudryks 111 points from GW16, and raising it to 113 points. Everyone else you have your target to aim for! 

Bench Boost of the week however goes to Meganmoopoo, 30 points off the bench and some inspired transfers not least Kroupi Jr to Calvert Lewin (13), and Fernandes to Morgan Rogers (15). Great work Meganmoopoo, awesome use of your extra free transfers!

The most popular chip of the week with Man City playing West Ham was of course the Triple Captain……over 900,000 teams played the chip on Haaland…….32 of you in the Evie Dove League also tripled up, surprisingly however there was a spread of captains with varying degrees of success……Haaland (obviously) for 48 points, Rogers (45), Foden (9), Mateta (6) and an injured Fernandes (3).

At the top of the league the top three continue to trade places, Warthog Dukes went against the grain with Saka as captain, the only team in the top 40 not on Haaland, but still just about retained a lead over close challengers Tymon for Stoppages and It’s who we are mate. 

Meanwhile in the December stakes, it’s close between Wembley shook and and Jossy’s Giant who have both shown a run of unexpected form, albeit there may well be a queue of teams behind them with a chip to use up……remember it is use them or lose them time, the slate will be wiped clean and we will get a whole new set of chips after GW19.

Anyway, time for you to get to work………gameweek 18 is just a few hours away!
