Gameweek 25

So last week I prematurely suggested that both Warthog Dukes and Arsenal were feeling the pressure……….well they stuffed those words right back down my throat with 81 points and a 4-0 win respectively to both cement their position at the top of the league, with Tymon for Stoppages and In the Mudryk tucked in neatly behind.

In the January stakes, it all came down to Monday night, and which teams had Sunderland defenders, and in the end it was impossible to split JenniFer Lopez and Delap Dance both scoring 307 points and earning themselves £20 each. Well done to you both, and also to crazyh who took the £10 prize with 300 points.

My favourite moment of the weekend was without question Adama Traore throwing Cucurella to the ground……..he’s had that coming for a while, and I could not think of a better man for the job than big Adama! Closely followed by the Wirtz assist, this kid has got great feet and is going to get better and better.

Player of the week was Noni Madueke with 14 points as that goal direct from a corner was rightfully awarded to him having momentarily been tagged as an own goal for the keeper. Those Arsenal corners are something else, almost impossible to defend.

Captaincy was spread around much more than normal, just 101 of you stuck with Haaland and he at least mustered an assist, but still no goal. 9 of you were rewarded by going down the Liverpool route with Ekitike and Wirtz delivering 26 and 24 points respectively. Meanwhile 64 of you went for Fernandes and Joao Pedro and were all rewarded with 20 points. The big Norwegian is away to Liverpool this weekend, looking forward to seeing what everyone is planning to do!

Onto Gameweek 25, look out for the early deadline, It is Friday at 18:30, and also take note that Gameweek 26 brings us a double gameweek for both Arsenal and Wolves so it might be time to load up on those Arsenal defenders………anyone without Gabriel……get him in!
