Gameweek 26

Aaaaargghhhh…………Tuesday deadline at 18:00……….I only just realised myself so please don’t get caught out!

What a great weekend of football topped of by that frantic final 15 minutes at Anfield……..just when all those managers that captained Fernandes (62 of you) and Joao Pedro (42 of you) were sitting smugly thinking you’d called it perfectly by swerving Haaland…….and then everything changed…….one assist, one goal, one yellow card, and three bonus points later……….. and the 58 of you who stuck with the Norwegian were celebrating a 22 point haul………what a way to finish the gameweek!

And of course it could have even more had he managed to get on the end of that Cherki shot from inside his own half….……..simply amazing that in a situation in which the deadliest finisher in world football, was  bearing down on a goal with no goalkeeper, and was victim of a blatant shirt pull that every single member of the crowd saw………..that even with all that insurmountable evidence VAR was necessary to establish that an obvious goal scoring opportunity had been denied!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and by the way…………what a goal by Szobozlai………… how on earth do you strike a dead ball like that???? What a shame he undid all his good work by playing Bernardo onside for the equaliser, and getting himself sent off. Not often that a player gets a red card and still manages to get 2 bonus points, thats how good that goal was! Player of the week however was none other than Fantasy Football favourite Cole Palmer……….congratulations to the 5 teams in the Evie Dove League who had him as their captain for a lovely 40 points…….sambuca Boys, Wirtz Nightmare, ChampagneSuperRovers, Saka Spuds, and Mr 55p all took advantage of this very tidy differential.

So the upshot of all of that is that at the top of the league Warthog Dukes and In the Mudryk are completely neck and neck, closely followed by Stone Cross FC………..it as you were in the Clattenburg Trophy for Chaddy’s Champs, STILL No Changes and Segnahcon…………. and we saw 7 Wildcards, 4 Bench Boosts, 2 Free Hits, 1 Triple Captain………..Enzo in case you were wondering…………… wrong Chelsea player Califorication!

And that brings us neatly onto Gameweek 26………remember to load up on those Arsenal players for the big double gameweek……..and as I’ve already said your deadline is 18:00 on Tuesday so don’t miss out.
