Gameweek 36

Double Gameweek 36 is upon us………Man City are at home to Brentford on Saturday and Crystal Palace on Wednesday, so if ever there was a week to use up those Triple Captain or Bench Boost chips this is the one. Only two gameweeks to go after this one so don’t let them go to waste. 

Little change at the top of the league and in the Clattenburg, so let’s focus on the Evie Dove Cup where In the Mudryk continues to chase down a league and cup double, good effort in the last round Dutch of Class, those 10 points on the bench from Jimmy Hill would have made the difference but thems the breaks.. Responsibility now passes to Undeniably Jim, we are all behind you! Also great to see Mturu FC and It’s only football! in the quarter finals, two managers who had no idea they were going to enjoy this Fantasy Football malarkey so much!! Good luck to all of you, getting to the sharp end now………

As for the May stakes, special shout out to Frimpingong who somehow managed to get Senesi (14 points),  Szoboszlai (13), Thiago (12), Okafor(10) on the pitch, great choices! Howe’s the Bacon had a nice 15 point Bench Boost, and Back of the Neto benefitted from a tidy Szoboszlai vice captaincy (26 points). These three take the early lead in the quest for the final monthly cash prizes of the season, amazing that another year is almost done, our fourth season of Evie Dove Fantasy Football. 

As for captaincy normal order was restored in GW35 with 112 of you captaining Haaland for 14 points, next up 36 of you were on Fernandes, whilst 16 of you kept faith with Chelsea who lost for the sixth PL game in a row…….the 10 of you on Joao Pedro were rewarded late on…..but zero points for the 6 of you on Palmer after that scuffed penalty………what has happened to this Fantasy Football legend? Horribly out of form and very unlikely to be on the plane to the USA at this rate….no-one saw that coming at the start of the season.

So onto GW36…..three gameweeks to go and the final double gameweek of the season, so make sure you’ve all got three City players in the ranks, and of course Palace if you are feeling brave!
