Gameweek 38

As the Premiership reached its conclusion with Arsenal securing the league with none of the anticipated last day shenanigans conversely Gameweek 37 finally brought some drama to the top of the table in the Evie Dove League and Cup……a terrible week for leader In the Mudryk with 49 points meaning they slipped into second place for the first time since GW29…..and it is Stone Cross FC who take a two point lead into the final gameweek of the season……..A £180 prize pot is at stake for the top three which is made up of course by longtime contender Warthog Dukes…..but of course more importantly the prestige of joining illustrious names such as Studley Constable, Crystal Pellis and Netflix and Chilwell as champions of the Evie Dove League. Good luck to all of you on this massive weekend…..

And as if In the Mudryk had not already had a tough enough week, they were also dumped out of the cup by Didier Dshamps who are aiming for their second Evie Dove cup in three seasons……..this time they will face Mturu FC who saw away It’s only football! courtesy of an agonising 15 points left on the bench in the shape of Ollie Watkins who has made a late season charge into the World Cup squad. So this Sunday brings the final and given respective league positions of 84th v 11th Mturu FC will go in as underdogs v the big guns Didier Dshamps but anything can happen in a one off cup match……Enjoy your big day out both of you.

Gameweek 37 also saw five Triple Captains…….two teams opting for the most transferred in player Gyokeres (433k transfers in worldwide)….and securing a measly 3 points in return……those on Trossard, Haaland and Saka faring slightly better. Bench Boost was the most popular chip of the week, with 23 of you getting this one out of the way, nicely played Wirtz Among Equals who secured an additional 33 points……putting them nicely in the running in the May stakes alongside Saka Potatoes and league leader Stone Cross FC who are coming home with a wet sail…..all the best to all of you in contention for the final monthly prizes of the season.

As for the Clattenburg…..there has been a frenzy of totally inactivity now for several weeks and surely Chaddy’s Champs, STILL No Changes, and Segnahcon can now start celebrating their wins, well done to all of you, particularly Chaddy’s Champs who have now gone over the 2000 point mark…..shame on all of you who have been working hard all season and have not yet leapt that particular hurdle!!!

And so that brings us to GW38……..as another season draws to a close anyone thinking of a romantic last dance with Mo Salah…..we really are saying goodbye to an absolute fantasy football legend who holds the record for both the most points in a season (344) and the most points in a single game (29). Farewell Mo…….it’s been fun!
