Gameweek 7

Triple Captains galore!!………overall 812,000 played the TC chip, the most ever in a single gameweek…..and 35 of those were in the Evie Dove League……and you were made to wait…….but the Norwegian finally came good…..an assist and two late goals rounding up to a massive 48 points. The top seven teams in our league all cashed in, and once again we have new a leaderboard with Warthog Dukes, Barack Opalmer and JenniFer Lopez now leading the way.

However no room for complacency because one week you are up there, and next week the wheels can come off as August winner Playing the Channels knows only too well…….after that impressive start they tumbled to 57th position with a lowly 23 points in GW6…..take note everybody! It was a similar story for Liverpool as they finally had the tables turned on them, and lost a game late on, something they have inflicted on the majority of their opponents so far this season……they were left to rue the missed signing of Guehi, and the ongoing presence of the chaotic Konaté…..Arsenal did the opposite and closed the gap with a last minute goal….those set pieces keep on delivering…..and hovering in the background are Man City, every season they have a blip and lose a couple of games…..have they simply got it done early in 25/26 and are we now going to see one of those long unbeaten runs?

Bruno missed yet another penalty, which in addition to his yellow card and 11 defensive contributions (midfielders need 12) rounded up to a miserable minus 2 points, matched by Esteve with two own goals and a Haaland assist! Chelsea reserves beat Chelsea……..Bournemouth built their own wall in the middle of the Leeds wall……and then collapsed it…..genius…..and Big Ange is really getting settled in at Forest……..when he told Marinakis that he would win a trophy in his second season little did he realise it would be the Championship!

The September stakes reached their conclusion, cash prizes on their way to Warthog Dukes (£25), Howe’s the Bacon (£15), and FC Touché (£10), and commiserations to those of you that missed out by a point or two…..dust yourselves off, we go again with the October stakes kicking off in Gameweek 7

In the Clattenburg Trophy, we have a Triple Captain Haaland breakaway leader…….step forward Chaddy’s Champs on a massive 384 points……putting them in overall 7th place…..look on enviously all of you that spend hours tinkering with your team and deliberating over those transfers!!
