Gameweek 3

Well if Gameweek1 kicked us off quietly then Gameweek 2 certainly turned up the volume with an average score of 81 points, and a highest gameweek score in the Evie Dove League of 141 points……..step forward Cole & The Gang who rose a massive 196 places in the Evie Dove league powered by a tasty 27 point Bench Boost……thats a contender for highest GW of the season and its only GW2!

I was also delighted to see that after all those weeks of careful planning…… a summer sent studying the form…….promises to anyone that would listen that this was THE season……we saw five teams rip everything up in disgust and go with a second week Wildcard….albeit the scores ranged from 67 to 80 so I’m not sure it paid off……not to worry though……only seventeen gameweeks until you get another one 🙂

And then of course we must congratulate those 85 smug Haaland captainers who were full of beans on Friday evening having bagged 26 points…….what a lovely start to the bank holiday weekend…..even on Saturday and Sunday morning they had an extra spring in their step……..right up until late on Sunday afternoon when Bruno saw that 26 and raised it……… 90 of you benefitting from a superb 46 pointer and a warm glow on Bank Holiday Monday!

We also got our first two Free Hits of the season, Noahs Angels and Peaky Reijnders following up on their GW1 Bench Boosts,with Noahs Angels just missing out on the top three despite throwing the kitchen sink at it, fourth place for them behind our monthly winner Que Salah Salah who steamed in with an overall total of 207 points securing a £25 win plus a place just outside the top 2k teams in the world…….not bad out of 10.3 million teams! Taking 2nd and 3rd spot were The Matadors***** and Djed Presidents, winning £15 and £10 respectively…….well done to you all, good to see the cash prizes off and running.

And that takes us neatly into September…..gameweek 3, a whole new raft of monthly prizes, plus of course a potential Triple Captain Fest on Haaland v Coventry…….anyone not playing the chip?! Your deadline once again is Friday evening at 18:30…….
