The TEDF Big Bike Ride – Thank you and well done!
Thank you so much for taking part in the 2025 Big Bike Ride.
What a fantastic way to spend the Summer Solstice outdoors in the Kent Countryside together. We asked for great weather and we certainly got that with one of the hottest days of the year!
With almost 80 riders lining up at the start we managed to paint the trails pink and were delighted to see that everyone made it to the finish line, despite a few mechanical issues!
Everyone should be very proud of completing such a challenging event and doing so with a smile on your faces and in that heat. The medal, pizzas and drinks were very well deserved.
Our TEDF events are about so much more than fundraising, we love bringing people together for a cause that really matters, a cause that is helping sick children and ultimately saving young lives. Evie’s kindness has inspired us to ensure her legacy lives on and she would have loved seeing the fun and joy of a day like this in her honour.
Our plan with this event was to give as much value as possible for your entrance fees, however, we also raised enough money from the day and the raffle to fund the training of a whole new “TEDF Hero” (peadiatric medical professional).
Thank you to everyone who took part, or has donated and helped us on our mission to improve paediatric care and expertise throughout the UK.

We’ve had brilliant feedback so far and many requests for the Big Bike Ride to be repeated, so we’ll be thinking about that and how we can take the experience to a new level of excitement in the coming years!
A huge thank you to James and Chloe of Craft Bikes, and to the incredible support crew who kept us all on track and motivated to the finish line. To the Foundry Clinic of Sandwich for the amazing massages, much needed!
Our thanks to the full organising team and the local businesses that also made the day possible including Bob N Julie Pizza, the Village Halls at Barham and Lyminge, and to Forestry England and the local councils for the necessary permissions to put on the ride.
