Please briefly describe your clinical/medical experience to date?

Sister, Children’s hospital@Home team. This service provides safe and effective care at home for patients with acute illnesses. Nurses are competent in administering Intravenous/Intramuscular Antibiotics, taking bloods, assess patients with respiratory distress and provide clinical/hydration reviews.

What motivated you to enter paediatric care in the first place?

I was deeply motivated to work with young children as I used to be a youth worker. In the youth club, i was able build a good rapport with the Children and knew i wanted to pursue a career in Children’s Nursing.

How will the funding from The Evie Dove Foundation help you to advance your career and your impact/services to children?

The funding will support and enhance the way i assess patients in the home setting. The Advanced learning will enable me to look to out for early signs of deterioration and know what actions will be appropriate.

How did you find out about The Evie Dove Foundation?

From my Matron- Zoe Tribble.
