Please briefly describe your clinical/medical experience to date?
I am a Paediatric Oncologist who has recently completed training and now working as a newly qualified Consultant. I have worked in Paediatrics since 2012, and in Paediatric Oncology since 2017. I love my job and it is really rewarding to support children and families through a cancer diagnosis and treatment, and to work closely with a large skilled team of multidisciplinary professionals.
What motivated you to enter paediatric care in the first place?

I have always wanted to work with children as it is a wonderful work environment. Even through challenging times, it is a privilege to do this job and be surrounded by equally passionate colleagues. The relationships that we form with our paediatric patients and their families can be very special.
How will the funding from The Evie Dove Foundation help you to advance your career and your impact/services to children?
I have a clinical and research interest in paediatric renal (kidney) tumours and am a Young Investigator in the International Society of Paediatric Oncology Renal Tumour Study Group (SIOP RTSG). This means that I work closely with world experts in this field on research and towards shaping management guidelines for these patients. In doing so I am developing my own expertise and knowledge in this area that I can apply to my own clinical work. Every year the SIOP RTSG have an annual meeting, to share new research projects, knowledge updates and plan future work to benefit these patients. This funding will support a group of 10 young investigators like myself in attending this international meeting, to gain knowledge and participate in the SIOP RTSG network.
How did you find out about The Evie Dove Foundation?
