Please briefly describe your clinical/medical experience to date?
I have been a Therapeutic Radiographer for 10 years, and in that time have had a wide range of clinical experience in different centres. I have been within the Molecular Radiotherapy team at UCLH since 2021, where I have worked with countless paediatric patients and their families.
What motivated you to enter paediatric care in the first place?

I have always loved working with children and have seen the devastation a cancer diagnosis in a child can cause. When I started working in Molecular Radiotherapy, I had exposure to many sick children and their families, and at that point decided to dedicate my career to improving the care and experiences of children undergoing cancer treatment, and to make a meaningful difference to both patients and their families.
How will the funding from The Evie Dove Foundation help you to advance your career and your impact/services to children?
Funding from the Evie Dove Foundation will allow me to attend the PROS congress, which will directly support my progression in paediatric care by building on my extensive experience working with children and their families undergoing cancer treatment. While I have many years of exposure to the complex clinical, emotional and psychosocial needs of paediatric patients, this course will further enhance my specialist knowledge and practical skills across all aspects of paediatric radiation oncology.
By strengthening my understanding of current best practice, advances in technology and paediatric-centred care, this congress will enable me to deliver safer, more effective, and more compassionate radiotherapy. This will support my ongoing professional development as a radiographer in paediatric care and contribute to my career progression within a highly specialised field. Additionally, the congress will provide valuable opportunities to network with professionals working in paediatric radiation oncology, facilitating the exchange of experience, shared learning, and collaborative practice that will directly benefit patient care.
How did you find out about The Evie Dove Foundation?
I found out about the Evie Dove Foundation from a consultant I work with.
Tell us about yourself!

I am Australian and have a passion for travel. I have recently come back from 6 months travelling Central and South America with my best friend. We managed to get to 12 countries in 6 months! We saw and did incredible things, ate incredible food and met incredible people. My best (and slightly scary) travel story is when I was stung by a stingray at the beach in Nicaragua.
Anything else you would like to tell us about your experience, future aspirations and motivations?
I am incredibly passionate about cancer care, especially for paediatric patients. My personal favourite cohort of patients are the neuroblastoma patients. They undergo such a tough regime of treatment with us, and I find these are the families I am able to form close bonds with and try to do everything in my power to make their time with us in hospital as smooth as possible.
